Dorota Trnik: Meet the founder of Camp Creativity

Dorota has led Camp Creativity since 2003, bringing her passion for education and creativity. She’s a Visual Arts teacher at The Sterling Hall School, where she’s spent 24 years inspiring young boys through innovative art programs and summer camps.

Dorota’s excellence in teaching has earned national and international recognition, including a nomination for the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence. She’s spoken at global conferences and was invited to create a Visual Arts Department in Washington, DC.

Dorota brings her vast experience to the art component of the camp, offering unique studio media experiences, such as painting, sculpture, printing, mixed media, and ceramics. Join us this summer and experience Dorota’s passion firsthand!

Suzanne Lagacey

Suzanne is a graduate of Ontario College of Art, where she majored in Photography and Illustration. She then continued her education at York University with an Honours Psychology Degree, completing her studies in Education at OISE, University of Toronto. Suzanne has been teaching Visual Arts and Photography at SHS since 2002 and invested her expertise in the  photography part of our camp.

 

Vlad: The Organized Experience

Vlad, is the mastermind behind daily activities and logistics. His passion for creating a balanced, exciting camp ensures every day is packed with new opportunities. Vlad designs activities that spark creativity and teamwork, including Stop-Motion animation, outdoor games, sports with professional coaches, and Destination Imagination challenges. With his extensive business and coaching experience, Vlad has shaped the camp into a trusted program. His attention to detail guarantees your child will have an unforgettable summer of fun, learning, and new friendships!

Daniel: Fitness, Fun, and Teamwork 

Daniel, a Grade 8 teacher at Sterling Hall School, is a key member of our camp team. As a Health and Physical Education specialist, he’s passionate about promoting physical activity and teamwork. With his leadership, campers enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor games, ensuring each activity is safe, fun, and memorable. Daniel’s dedication guarantees every camp day is filled with laughter, collaboration, and physical activity, leaving campers with great memories!

Liam:  The Heart of the Camp's Fun

Liam has stepped into a leadership role at Camp Creativity, infusing it with fresh ideas, creativity, and a passion for learning. He brings his expertise in Urban Development and passion for Photography to explore exciting design themes around cities. He reshapes the camp by integrating real-world case studies, helping campers understand urban challenges and innovations. His workshop city models are used in our filming component, where campers bring them to life through photography and animation. And let’s not forget his involvement in the spectacular Water Games! As an old boy camper himself, Liam’s approach is fun, educational, and always refreshed based on camper feedback!
